Before you get started, please make sure you have:

An eSIM compatible device. Check here to see if your device is compatible.
A Wi-Fi connection or the ability to hotspot from another mobile device (you’ll need a stable internet connection)
A valid Australian Mastercard, Visa credit or debit card to purchase your felix subscription

3. Start the process and activate your eSIM when prompted



Already a customer and would like to swap to an eSIM? Follow these easy steps:

1. Head to the felix mobile app
2. On the Settings tab select Replace or swap your SIM
3. Follow the prompts and confirm you want to make the switch to an eSIM
4. Once you’ve confirmed, follow the three steps to set up and activate your new eSIM

Will using an eSIM change my plan at all?

Nope, there’s no extra cost and everything about your felix service stays the same regardless of if you’re on an eSIM or physical felix SIM.

Can I use a physical SIM and an eSIM on my device?

Yes. If you have a dual SIM device with an active plan on a physical SIM and on an eSIM you can use both plans simultaneously. In your device settings you can select which plan you want to use when calling, sending a text or using data. If you're on a call using one of the plans, any calls to your other SIM will be directed to voicemail.

If you’re using an eSIM and don’t have a dual SIM device, ensure the physical SIM is removed from your phone.




How long does it take to switch to an eSIM?

If you switch to felix with a new number, activation generally takes only a few minutes but may take up to 15 minutes. In some cases, it can take up to 4 hours.

If you bring your number, it can take 15 minutes to 4 hours for the transfer to be complete. Switching requests are completed between Monday-Friday 8am-8pm AEST and Saturdays 10am-6pm AEST (except national public holidays). The good news is that you won’t lose service with your current provider until you’re on ours.


How do I use two phone numbers on my eSIM capable device?

You can use two phone numbers on the same device, at the same time, provided you have 2 active mobile phone services (one physical SIM and one eSIM).

Note: You may only have one eSIM service active at any one time.

Once the eSIM has been set up, you can set either the eSIM or the physical SIM as your primary number.

Primary number: The default number used for outbound calls. You can manually override the primary number to use the secondary number at any time.

Can I move my eSIM to another device?

If you'd like to move from one device to another while using eSIM, you’ll be required to request a new eSIM within the felix app on the new compatible device.

To set up an eSIM on a new device, follow the steps below:

1. Head to the felix mobile app
2. On the Settings tab select Replace or swap your SIM
3. Follow the prompts and confirm you want to make the switch to an eSIM.
