Understanding domestic and family violence

Domestic and family violence includes a range of abusive behaviours. It could be physical, sexual, emotional, financial, or psychological. It can be exercised by intimate partners, family members and caregivers. Manipulative behaviours, using technology or financial control, are often used against victims. It's crucial to recognise all forms of abuse as equally serious. If you’re experiencing any forms of abuse, the below support services are also available.
